Iraq The Model Blog

The first anniversary of creating Iraq The Model is celebrated by Mohammed, Ali, and Omar. I feel grateful to them for I had learned about the world of blogging through them. BBC Arabic published links to few of Iraqi blogs in last May which led me to this marvelous world.
Again these three bloggers, few weeks ago, referred to my blog resulting in lot of traffic and I want to thank them for that wishing them more success.

Isn't it wonderful that you landed on this planet, the Blogosphere, by linking up to and reading "The Model"? This is the distributed nature of a new world order: not power from the top down but information across the 'net.

Information spreads in a web across the world; there are nodal points on all the continents. Your tyrant kept this information from you because he intuited how destructive knowledge, freely shared, is for despots. Now he's gone and the internet has erupted in Iraq.

I've never been to the Middle East. My impression from what I read in the soldiers' blogs is that you are an intelligent, friendly nation...one that is anxious to join the rest of the free world. Your willingness to attempt this journey in spite of those who would hold you back or attempt to torture/humiliate/kill you is very inspiring for those of us who have always been free and don't have to think about it. Iraq is truly an inspiration!

It's too bad that the good work of re-building your country doesn't get more exposure in our country. I have contributed money to the soldiers who are repairing schools and handing out school supplies. Education is the key to the future for your children.

As for Bush, I wouldn't worry whether he "likes" whoever you choose to be your leader. As long as this person believes in the power of individual liberty and the rule of law, America will cheer whatever you do.

Your English is excellent. You must have worked hard to learn to express yourself so well. Keep on blogging and it will get even better!
